Pool & Spa Builder
As a pool and spa builder, you install and construct in-ground and above-ground swimming pools and spas in both residential and commercial locations.
The wok is mainly done outdoors and involves driving to job locations.

A typical day may involve:
- working with designers, architects, landscape architects and contractors
- reading and interpreting building plans and specifications
- applying and finishing sprayed concrete or fibreglass lining
- applying interior and waterproof surfaces
- installing tiles and pavers
- installing subsoil draining systems, filtration equipment and sanitisation systems
- installing reticulation systems and pool plumbing
- preparing construction contracts
It helps to be good at:
- physical tasks
- using tools and machinery
Qualifications/pathway options:
- Cert IV Swimming Pool and Spa Building
